Funeral services were held for Laura Anne Veillon, 80, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 3 p.m., Friday, January 2. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Mrs. Veillon died Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Joseph Murray Veillon of Ville Platte; three daughters, Sandra M. Veillon, Jennifer Veillon Schatzle and her husband, Joseph Steven, and Christie Veillon Soileau and her husband, Robert John Jr., all of Ville Platte; and two sisters, Mamie St. Romain of Kenner and Edvina Veillon of Point Blue. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Joshua Schatzle, Rebecca Schatzle, Ryan Schatzle and Gabriel Schatzle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Richard.
Father Mitchell Guidry officiated.
