PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services will be held for Betty C. Oliver, 78, of Pine Prairie, at Pine Prairie First Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 21. Burial will follow in the Campbell Cemetery.
Mrs. Oliver died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. She was president of the Blue Birds Association at Prairie Manor Nursing Home. She taught Sunday school and G.A.’s at the Pine Prairie First Baptist Church for 32 years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Alfred “Sonney” Oliver of Pine Prairie; one son, Allen Mitchell Oliver and his wife, Theresa, of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Carolyn Guillory and her husband, Robert, of Ville Platte and Theresa Johnson of Pine Prairie; one brother, Jerry Griffis and his wife, Henrietta, of Hutto, Texas; two sisters, Patsy Crumrine and Connie Jo Campbell, both of Aransas Pass, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Neal Griffis.
Revs. Keith Sheridan and Barry Gautreaux will officiate.
