Mary F. Fontenot

Funeral services were held for Mary F. Fontenot, 80, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 3. Burial followed in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery.
Ms. Fontenot died Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center. She worked for Jack Miller Barbeque Sauce for 34 years. She loved plants and gardening and was very active outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita DeLoach and her husband, Roland, of Mamou and Patricia Dardeau and her husband, Paul, of Ville Platte; one son, Nathan James B. Fontenot of Ville Platte; one brother, Irvin Fontenot and his wife, Judy, of Bunkie; and two sisters, Annie Billeaudeux of Lake Charles and Audrey Ardoin and her husband, Irvin, of Baton Rouge. She was blessed with three granddaughters, Bridget LeBlanc, Kelly Miller and Krystal Arnaud; and five and one-half-great-grandchildren. They were her greatest joy and she never missed an opportunity to boast about them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Fontenot; her parents, Felecian and Marie Vidrine Fontenot; three brothers, Oscar, Joe and Bruce Fontenot; and two sisters, Carrie Vidrine and Alma LaComb.
