2015 Boggy Bayou Festival youth royalty crowned
Six new queens and three kings were selected on Saturday, March 21, at the 2015 Boggy Bayou Youth Pageant held at the fairgrounds. They will be presented at the Queen’s Pageant set for Saturday, April 11, during the 31st Boggy Bayou Festival in Pine Prairie.
Winning the title of 2015 Baby Miss Boggy Bayou was Lauryn Blaire Fruge, the one year-old daughter of David and Britni Fruge of Pine Prairie. Placing as first runner-up to the baby queen was Paige Nicole Mayer, the 18-month-old daughter of Megan Mayer of Ville Platte. Second runner-up was Arabella Manuel, the three-month-old daughter of Danielle Trattles and Phillip Manuel of Ville Platte.
Capturing the Baby Mr. Boggy Bayou title for 2015 was Brennan Lessing, the one-year-old son of Brandon and Kara Lessing of Forest Hill. Placing as first runner-up to the baby king was Matthew Scott Watz, the 18-month-old son of Desirae Watz of Ville Platte. The second runner-up award went to Leum Glenn Deshotel, the 14-month-old son of Destiny Howard and Duane Deshotel of Pine Prairie.
The Tiny Miss Boggy Bayou crown was awarded to Olivia Jayde Hazelton, the 27-month-old daughter of Jason and Lynette Hazelton of Pine Prairie. Amelia Kate Ardoin, the 19-month-old daughter of Kevin and Kelly Ardoin of Ville Platte, was named first runner-up to the tiny queen. Placing as second runner-up was Elanora Jane Bieber, the 19-month-old daughter of Grayson and Ashley Bieber of Ville Platte.
Wyatt Sparks, the twenty-month-old son of Tyler and Cydney Sparks, of Ville Platte, was crowned Tiny Mr. Boggy Bayou for 2015.
Jovie Garza, the four-year-old daughter of Tony and Amy Garza of St. Landry, was crowned Little Miss Boggy Bayou. Placing as first runner-up was Madilyn Fontenot, the three-year-old daughter of Stephen and Melissa Fontenot of Pine Prairie. The second runner-up award went to Emma Belle Seaman, the four-year-old daughter of Clay and Jenny Rials of Pine Prairie.
Kaiden Daigle, the three-year-old son of Jeret and Tiffany Daigle of Ville Platte, was crowned Little Mr. Boggy Bayou for 2015. Bentlee Chace Barzare, the three-year-old son of Kevin and Dara Barzare of Turkey Creek, was named first runner-up in this division.
Gracie Claire Vidrine, the nine-year-old daughter of Quentin and Jaimi Vidrine of Pine Prairie, captured the Petite Miss Boggy Bayou crown for 2015. Avery Claire Stewart, the nine-year-old daughter of Grayson and Ashley Bieber and Nick Stewart, was named first runner-up. Placing as second runner-up was Madison Harrington, the six-year-old daughter of Jamie and Dustin Harrington of Pine Prairie.
Winning the Deb Miss Boggy Bayou crown for 2015 was Abby Reed, the 13-year-old daughter of Scott and Laurie Reed of Pine Prairie. Placing as first runner-up was Adilynn David, the 10-year-old daughter of Kelly and Mamie David of Eunice. Lola Grace Andrus, the 10-year-old daughter of Heath and Kylie Andrus of Pine Prairie, was awarded second runner-up in the Deb Miss category. The alternate award was presented to Madison Soileau, the 12-year-old daughter of Jeremy and Janna Soileau of Pine Prairie.
Capturing the Teen Miss title for 2015 was Kelsey Brianne Clark, the daughter of Stephanie Guillot. Placing as first runner-up to the teen queen was Lybbie Fontenot, the daughter of Scott and Danielle Guillory and Troy Fontenot. The second runner-up award went to Lanie Eckhart, the daughter of Marsha Soileau and Joey Eckhart.
Serving as judges for this year’s pageant were: Mikala Morgan of New Iberia, the reigning Miss Louisiana Mardi Gras; Caroline Cosgrove, the reigning Louisiana Yambilee Queen LXIX; and Kelsey McDaniel of Gueydan, the former Port Barre Cracklin Queen. Serving as auditor for the youth pageants was the reigning Boggy Bayou Queen Torian Paige Veillon.
