St. Jude Trail Ride set

The 12th Annual St. Jude Trail Ride, sponsored by the Sheriff’s Mounted Posse of Evangeline Parish, will be held Saturday, April 25, at 3375 Faubourg Road, Washington.
The ride begins at 8:30 a.m. and overnight stay (for Friday and Saturday) is available at the Chauncey Pitre Memorial Building (1204 Chauncey Pitre Road, Ville Platte) but there are no hookups available.
Non-motorized wagons are welcome and the cost to join the trail ride is $10 (lunch included). A St. Jude auction will be held at lunch time, with two items, an adult saddle and youth saddle, each stamped with the St. Jude emblem. Items or monetary donations will be accepted.
Proceeds from this trail ride benefit St. Jude Hospital. Last year’s donation from the ride was $15,000.
Food and refreshments will be available. Ice chests are not allowed.
