Heritage Manor News: Springtime events

Heritage Manor’s King Preston Ardoin and Queen Bobbie McCauley represented the facility at the recent spring pageant in Arnaudville. They competed against 120 area nursing homes. Although they did not place for a title, everyone had a great time and we are very proud of them. We sincerely thank the staff of J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home for hosting the great event.
The annual volunteer supper was a lot of fun. A lot of door prizes were given out and a wonderful meal was served. Congratulations to the Volunteers of the Year Sister Lucille Stelly and Lesson Jack, both with St. Joseph Catholic Church, for their devotion and continued persistence of volunteering and serving all residents in need. We love and appreciate all of our active volunteers. Many thanks to all merchants for the beautiful door prizes and of course the dietary department for their hard work in preparing the meal.
Activities this week include Come Lord Jesus group, in-room visits, manicures, pokeno, jingo, group exercise, mass, bingo sponsored by the Ville Platte Rotary Club, resident birthday party, ice cream party and a picnic in the park.
The staff of Heritage Manor sends get-well wishes to Andrus Chapman.
We thank all of our organizations who contribute to us for monthly bingo games, Wal-Mart, VFW Post #3803 and Ladies Auxiliary, Ville Platte Rotary Club, VVA, Catholic Daughters, Knights of Columbus, DAV and Epsilon Sigma Chapter #7869.
This week, we will be enjoying a picnic in the park with our friends from Savoy Care Center. We plan on a delicious barbecue lunch and enjoying the outdoors and nature walk.
Many thanks to Sherina Gallow for always helping out as needed.
