Sacred Heart competes at district track meet

The Sacred Heart boy’s and girl’s track teams competed at the recently held district 5-1A track meet on Monday in Eunice. Both squads faired well, each team placed fourth overall. Here are the individual performances at that meet

Girl’s Results

Moira Parks, first place in the long jump; second place in the triple jump; and second place in the javelin; named Outstanding Field Athlete.
Mary-Margaret Gil, second place, shot put; 800 meter relay team (Gabbie Andrepont, Caroline Fontenot, Erin Fontenot, Natalie Earles), first place; 400 meter relay team (Gabbie Andrepont, Erin Fontenot, Caroline Fontenot Natalie Earles), first place; 1600 meter relay team (Catherine Poche, Erin Fontenot, Natalie Earles, Moira Parks), third place; Natalie Earles, third place, 200 meter run; Catherine Poche, 800 meter run, third place; Kaylie McCoy, 100 m.

Boy’s Results

Seth Shipp, second place, javelin; 800 meter relay (Garrick Fontenot, Mikey Laughlin, Caleb Soileau, Dylan Scully), third place; 400 meter relay (Mikey Laughlin, Julien Vidrine, Caleb Soileau, Dylan Scully), second place; 1600 meter relay (Andrew Doucet, Nathan Fontenot, Daniel Scully, Trevor Soileau), fourth place; Dylan Scully, 100 meter dash, third place.
All of these athletes qualify to run at the regional track meet which will be held on Tuesday at the ULL campus.
