Friends of Boggy Bayou benefit told

A special benefit, organized by Friends of Boggy Bayou, will be held Saturday, May 9, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. This will benefit Gerald and Peggy Duplechin to help defray medical expenses at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Admission is a monetary donation.
The benefit will be held at the Boggy Bayou Fairgrounds and the first live auction is set for 8 p.m. Items for auction can be donated to Boggy Bayou board members or call (337) 599-3370. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. No ice chests will be allowed.
There will be live music, fun jumps for children, a DJ, boiled crawfish and refreshments. There will also bee barbecue plate lunches sold from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Purchase advance tickets at Prairie Manor Nursing Home and pick up at entry gate to the fairgrounds.
