Bobby Rider

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Bobby Rider, 66, of Duralde, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 6. Burial followed in the Bieber Cemetery.
A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Mr. Rider died Monday, May 4, 2015, at his residence. He was a Navy Vietnam veteran who served his country proudly on the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Judy Verrette Rider of Duralde; two sons, Scott Rider of Duralde and Jacob Rider and his wife, Ashley, of Mamou; two daughters, Robin Jenkins and her husband, Huey, of Mamou, and Kimberly Cruz of Arizona; two brothers, Renny Rider of Baytown, Texas, and Toney Rider and his wife, Beverly, of Conyers, Georgia; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Adam and S.L. Guillory Rider; and one brother, Michael Rider.
Father Mark Melancon officiated.
