Mary Katherine Fontenot Goldberg

FLEMING ISLAND, Florida - A memorial service will be held for Mary Katherine Fontenot Goldberg, 49, of Fleming Island, Florida, at Transformation Fellowship International Church in Baldwin, Florida, at 2 p.m. (Eastern), Saturday, May 23. A native of Ville Platte, Mrs. Goldberg died Saturday, May 9, 2015, following a four-year battle with breast cancer. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother. She was loved by all who knew her and was known by how loving she was to all.
Survivors include her husband, David E. Goldberg of Fleming Island, Florida; her parents, Dot and Mel Daigle of Church Point and Joseph Delano Fontenot of Ville Platte; one son, Michael Goldberg of Fleming Island, Florida; two daughters, Taylor Goldberg and Jordan Goldberg, both of Fleming Island, Florida; and two sisters, DeAnna Fontenot of Chicago, Illinois, and Krista Fontenot Broadway of Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Kathy’s memory may send donations to Transformation Fellowship International (TFI), 82 US Hwy 90 E., Baldwin, Florida, 32234. She was dedicated to the missions fund at TFI. The mission work in Kenya performed by TFI was a deep love of hers and she generously supported TFI’s ministry there, which included the following for families and children: church planting, food and water provisions and electricity. In loving memory of Kathy, TFI will dedicate the first building of Transformation Health and Wellness Clinic as the “Mary Katherine Memorial Building.” The construction project will begin on her date of birth, December 21, in 2015.
