Catholic Daughters, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court discuss community projects at meeting

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Sacred Heart of Jesus Court #1674, met at the church meeting room on Wednesday, June 3, at 6 p.m., with Regent Barbara Delafosse presiding. A discussion was held about new community projects to benefit the town, and several proposals were considered.
Father Brian Harrington was thanked for being the court chaplain and given a going away present. He his being reassigned to Abbeville.
Court members were asked to remember those CDA members who are homebound or in the nursing homes and their caregivers.
The court will sponsor two bingos at Heritage Manor during the summer.
The first Catholic Daughters meeting for the fall will be held on September 2.
Plans were made for the annual Catholic Daughters fund raiser. The salad-bingo will be held on Thursday, June 11, at the Northside Civic Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., the meal will be served at 6 p.m. and the bingo games will begin at 7 p.m.
