Funeral services will be held for Joseph Huey Foret, 86, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 9. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
A loving husband, brother and friend, Mr. Foret died Monday, July 6, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Knights of Columbus council #1754 and was a Veteran of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Mercedes Soileau Foret of Ville Platte; one brother, Harold Foret and his wife, Lucille Moreau Foret, of Ville Platte; one sister, Joycelyn Foret Lee of Opelousas; and one sister-in-law, Faye F. Foret of Ville Platte.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Orise and Adile Pitre Foret; and one brother, James Byron Foret.
Father Tom Voorhies will officiate.
