Georgiana Granger Manuel Reed

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Georgiana Granger Manuel Reed, 81, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 23. Burial will follow in the Ardoin Cemetery.
Ms. Reed died Monday July 20, 2015, at her residence. She graduated from Mamou High School in 1951.
Survivors include six children, Cynthia Ahart of Opelousas, Tim Manuel and his wife, Penny, of Beaver Creek, Mona Daigle of Mamou, FeFe Cabe and James Savells of Maumelle, Arkansas, Barry Manuel of Opelousas and Ferral Manuel and his wife, Jeanne, of Broussard; five step-children, Michael Reed, Patrick Reed and his wife, Kathy, Mitchell Reed, Nicholas Reed and his wife, Neili, and Jennifer Jackson and her husband, David, all of Mamou; five sisters, Ethel Cordes and her husband, Earl, of Oregon, Ella Lintzen of Sulphur, Becky Mccauley and her husband, Ervin, of Ville Platte, Gerri Brunet of Mamou and Jenny Duplechin and her husband, Luther, of Lafayette; 23 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evy L. and Naise Granger; her husband, Harold J. Manuel, the father of her children; her second husband, J. Roy Reed; one daughter, Pamela Lynn Manuel; one sister, Mae Aguillard; and one step-son, Kenneth Reed.
Father Alphonse Thainese will officiate.
