Funeral services were held for Thomas Thrasher Jr., 72, of Pine Prairie, at the World Ministries Church in Eunice at 11 a.m., Monday, September 7. Burial followed in the Turkey Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Thrasher died Saturday, September 5, 2015, at his residence.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda Thrasher of Pine Prairie; two sons, Quint Thrasher and his wife, Michelle, of Bayou Chicot and Jody Thomas Thrasher and his wife, Carla, of Ville Platte; six daughters, Michelle Fontenot and her husband, Roddy, and Rachel West and her husband, Derrick, all of Mamou, Melinda Bergeron and her husband, Richard, of Moss Bluff, Sue Watson and her husband, Randy, of Greenwood, Mississippi, Susan Thrasher of Ville Platte and Stephanie Burleigh and her husband, Chris, of Eunice; two brothers, Jimmy Thrasher of Pine Prairie and J.C. Thrasher of Lecompte; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Mary Thrasher; one son, Joey Toby Thrasher; two grandsons, Tommy Jason Bergeron and Garrett Thrasher; four brothers; and two sisters.
