After a rough outing against Ville Platte this past Friday, the Mamou Demons are hoping to get their offense on track this week as they travel to East Beauregard for a Thursday night tilt. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The Demon offense was rather anemic against the Bulldogs. Mamou could only manage 57 yards of total offense against Ville Platte. Out of those yards, 58 came via the air. The Demons had a negative one yard rushing.

“I thought we played decently on defense,” stated Brumfield. “They broke a few big plays on us, but I was pleased with our play defensively. We need to continue to learn how to play base defense before we can start mixing in stunts and
This week the Demons will face an East Beauregard team that is 0-1, having lost to Ascension Episcopal 29-22.
The Trojans utilize the double tight, double wing concept and are a ground and pound team. Brumfield knows that his team will have to get after it physically if they are to compete.
“I told our players that we are going to have to strap it up this week,” commented Brumfield. “They are very physical and get after you. They don’t have the fastest, but if they break one, they can take it to the house. We are going to have to try to stop the sweep and hopefully throw the ball effectively in order to come away with a win.”
