Wilson Paul Tate

MOULTRIE, Georgia - Funeral services were held for Wilson Paul Tate, 84, of Doerun, Georgia, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Moultrie, Georgia, at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 12. Burial followed in the Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
A native of Basile, Mr. Tate died Thursday, September 10, 2015, at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and he retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany as an electrical inspector. He was the Past Master of Doerun Masonic Lodge #151 and was Chief Aide Emeritus of the Hasan Shrine Temple in Albany. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Doerun.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Tate and his wife, Susan, of Doerun, Georgia; one daughter, Debbie Tate Holt and her husband, Ricky, of Opelika, Alabama; one granddaughter, Rebekah Tate; four grandsons, Casey Tate, Adam Holt, Jacob Holt and his wife, Mariah, and John David Holt; one great-granddaughter, Ryan Holt; three sisters, Nary Reed, Elaine DeBarge and Lou Tate; and one brother, Alan Ray Tate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlcie Harris Tate; his parents, Kenneth and Emily Guillory Tate; one sister, Mary Tate Fontenot; and one brother, Nelson Tate.
Pall bearers were James Tate, Duane Fruge, Trev Simmons, Scott Anderson, Will McCoy and Mike Blair.

Cobb Funeral Home of Moultrie, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.
