MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Ellarene Soileau Kilgore, 75, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 22. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Mrs. Kilgore died Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Eunice Manor Nursing Home in Eunice.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Kilgore Jr. and JoAnn; one daughter, Robin Kamel and her husband, Omar, of Sulphur; four brothers, Byron Soileau and Carroll Soileau, both of Reddell, Jerry Soileau of Mamou and Kenneth Soileau of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy E. Kilgore Sr.; her parents, Melvin and Exina O’Connor Soileau; two brothers, Ronald Soileau and J.B. Soileau; one sister, Emma Fontenot; and one grandson, Joseph “Joey Balfa.
Father Travis Abadie officiated.
