EPSO makes arrest for armed robbery

Sheriff Eddie Soileau, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has released the following statement:
On September 23, 2015, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to an Armed Robbery at Angel’s Food Store (6466 Pine Point Road Ville Platte). After viewing video surveillance the suspect was identified as Traylin Deville.
Detectives and deputies immediately began searching for Deville, concentrating near and around his girlfriend and mother’s home. The search continued throughout most of the night.
On September 24, 2015, Deville surrendered to local authorities safely and without incident, he was later turned over into the custody of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Bond has been set by 13th Judicial District Judge Gary Ortego at $200.000.00. Investigation is still ongoing.
