Oakdale steamrolls over Mamou 54-0

It was another long night for the Mamou High Demons, as they fell to 0-5 on the season with a 54-0 loss to the Oakdale Warriors Thursday night.
Oakdale took the opening kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown and never looked back in the dominating win over Mamou.
The Demons were limited to 24 yards rushing and 74 total yards in the contest. Mamou will host Lake Arthur next week for their homecoming and their first district game.
The Warriors continued the onslaught after the opening score, adding three more touchdowns before the end of the first quarter to take the 28-0 lead.
Single touchdowns in the second and third quarters extended the Warrior lead to 40-0. Oakdale tacked on two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to finish complete the 54-0 victory.
Levi Fontenot led all Demon rushers, carrying the ball four times for 13 yards. Fontenot was also four for 12 for 50 yards in the passing department. Joab Perron hauled in two receptions for 22 yards to lead all Mamou receivers.
