Teurling Joseph “TJ” Lafleur

Funeral services were held for Teurling Joseph “TJ” Lafleur, 85, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 7. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Mr. Lafleur died Monday, October 5, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. He was a United States Air Force veteran and proudly served in the Merchant Marines.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Paranell Vidrine Lafleur of Ville Platte; two sons, Gregory Lafleur of Ville Platte and Kevin O’Conner and his wife, Jean, of L’anse Aux Pailles; four daughters, Mindy Doucet and her husband, Mark, and Peggy Sue Ludeau, all of Ville Platte, Kim Colby and her husband, Larry, of Vidrine and Tarlene Lafleur of Bayou Chicot; and one brother, Russell Lafleur of Lafayette. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ethel Lafleur; three brothers, Joseph Lafleur, Hilton Lafleur and Horace Lafleur; and two sisters, Monita Soileau and Emma Lou Lafleur.
