Francis Young

Mr. Francis Young died peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Mamou on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Margaret O’Steen Young of Mamou (orginally from Montgomery, Alabama); three daughters, Tina Young of Lafayette, Pam Prudhomme and her husband, Blaine, of Mamou and Kathy Fruge and her husband, Burk, of Basile; one son, Johnnie Young and his wife, Capri, of Lafayette; three siblings, Betty Stickley of Clute, Texas, Bonny Barry of Lafayette and Norman Young and his wife, Sandy, of Carencro; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Winne Young.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Heart of Hospice in Lafayette.
As Mr. Young donated his body to science, a memorial service will be held at Chataignier Baptist Church at 10 a.m., Sunday, November 1, 2015.
