Football contest winds down for 2015

As we enter the last two weeks of competition in the Gazette football contest, there seems to be little room for someone to overtake our current leader, Jake Veillon.
Veillon has accumulated a total of 13 points on the strength of three first place finishes and two second place finishes during the season.
The closest competitor for Veillon is Kevin Guillory.
Guillory has a total of eight points and can still catch Veillon with some strong performances in the end.
Several players are tied for third place. Micah Chatman, Hank Lafleur, Hurley Vidrine, and Randy Vidrine all sit two points behind Guillory.
Joshua Fontenot and Lauren Fontenot each have five points apiece and can still be in the running for second place.
It will be interesting to see how things turn out over the next two competitions, especially with the big college football games on the horizon.
