Lady Bulldogs participate at STM tourney

The Ville Platte High Lady Bulldogs recently participated in the St. Thomas More tournament over the Thanksgiving Holidays. The Lady Bulldogs faced off against some pretty stiff competition in the tournament and came away with an overall record of 1-2.
Here is a recap of all three games played in the tournament.
Brusly vs. Ville Platte
Game one for the Lady Bulldogs was an impressive 55-37 win over the Lady Panthers.
Miya McKinney and Kealogah Calvin each scored 17 points for Ville Platte in the win.

South Beauregard vs. Ville Platte
The Lady Bulldogs were outscored 18-9 in the first quarter en route to a 47-44 loss to the Lady Knights.
Ville Platte tried to mount a comeback outscoring South Beauregard in the final quarter 9-4.
Calvin put up 18 points while Tyreonna Doucet chipped in 11 points for Ville Platte in the loss.

Barbe vs. Ville Platte
In a low scoring game, the Lady Buccaneers took a 35-29 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
Kaebreonna Stevens led all Ville Platte scorers with six points.
