Events set for local MLK Day celebration

VILLE PLATTE — The Evangeline Parish Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Memorial Celebration will be held in Ville Platte on Monday, Jan. 18.
The celebration kicks off with a parade that starts at 10 a.m. at the Evangeline Parish Media Center and will proceed to the Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center.
Following the parade’s completion at 11 a.m., there will be a play “His Life, His Legacy” performed at the center.
Everyone is invited to participate in the parade march with a sign or a sign on your vehicle.
