Dossman honored by alma mater

Ville Platte native Curley M. Dossman Jr. was honored by Washington University in St. Louis during the college’s Founders Day celebration in November.
Dossman was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award for his work as Vice President of Community Programs at Georgia Pacific, and as President of the Georgia-Pacific Foundation. Dossman oversees all of the company’s community-based programs nationwide and the foundation’s philanthropic giving.
Dossman also serves as chairman of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., a global organization with more than 10,000 members. Dossman earned his bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta in 1973. He then went on and attended Washington University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate in 1976.
