Funeral services were held for Belva Marie Soileau, 73, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 17. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Ms. Soileau died Monday, February 15, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Derouen and her husband, Pat Jr., Karen Fruge and Monica Soileau, all of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Danyelle Brignac and her husband, Brock, Nicholas Fruge, Elby Derouen and his wife, Jennifer, and Michael Fruge and his fiancé, Christy Guillory, all of Ville Platte; and one great-grandchild, Julian Brignac.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roderick Soileau; and her parents, Alton and Luny Deville.
Father Matthew Barzare officiated.
