Elva Mae Chaddrick Nelson

Funeral services will be held for Elva Mae Chaddrick Nelson, 87, of Pineville, at the G.A. Mangun Center of the Pentecostals of Alexandria at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 13. Burial will follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery.
Ms. Nelson died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a member of The Pentecostals of Alexandria and worked in the grandparent program at Pinecrest.
Survivors include three sons, John Robert Nelson and his companion, Joyce, Jerome Dwight Nelson and his wife, Kay, and Darwin Woodrow Nelson and his wife, Lyne; two daughters, Loretta N. Jewell and her husband, John, and Charlotte N. Walker and her husband, Rick; five brothers, Munion Chaddrick, Herman Chaddrick, Clen Chaddrick, Charlie Chaddrick and Hoite Chaddrick; three sisters, Yvonne Lunsford, Lucille Clark and Emma Jean Hogan; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodard Woodrow Nelson; one son, Aubrey Gerald “Scooter” Nelson; her parents, Frank and Ida Lemons Chaddrick; two brothers, Erby Chaddrick and Wilford Chaddrick; and one sister, Epsie Lee Barfield.
Pall bearers will be Heath Nelson, Waylon Nelson, Gerald Nelson, Austin Rennier, Shane McDaniel and Ryan Nelson. Honorary pall bearers will be Travis Shuler and Tim Basco.
Revs. Anthony Mangun and Jeff Wainwright will officiate.
