Ville Platte Police detectives are asking for information on Larryl Malcolm Fisher, 32 of Crowley, who is wanted in connection with two robberies that occurred on March 7.
At 2:30 p.m. that day, the department received a report of an armed robbery in progress at Ville Platte Clinic Pharmacy on Jack Miller Road. After arriving on the scene, officers and detectives noticed a vehicle matching a description of the suspect’s vehicle leaving the area. Officers pursued the vehicle, and the driver later crashed the car near the Pine Point Road southwest of Ville Platte. One suspect was captured and a second suspect fled the scene on foot.
Algernon James Wilson, 30, of Crowley was arrested following the wreck. He has been charged with principal to armed robbery, flight from an officer, no driver’s license, and misrepresentation. His bail has been set at $106,000.
The second suspect is believed to be Fisher, and he is wanted for armed robbery.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said he believes the pharmacy robbery and the March 7 morning robbery of the Advance American Cash Advance in Eunice are connected. Fontenot said it is likely that the man seen in the security video from Advance American Cash Advance is Fisher.
“Some of our detectives went to Ville Platte today to follow up,” Fontenot said. “We don’t have anything new yet.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Fisher is asked to call the Ville Platte Police Department at (337) 363-1313.
All callers will remain anonymous.
