Rodney Joseph Lafleur

A memorial service will be held for Rodney Joseph Lafleur, 77, of Ville Platte, at a later date.
Mr. Lafleur died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. He was a life-long resident of Ville Platte and worked for the Corp of Engineers for 17 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served two years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Cajun cooking.
Survivors include two brothers, Nelson Ortego and Amite Gauthier Jr.; and one sister, Janice Gauthier McCall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amite and Betty Fontenot Gauthier; and one niece, Pamela Krilla Charlie.
