Funeral services will be held for Robert James Thomas, 64, of Ville Platte, at St. Luke Baptist Church in Vidrine at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Thomas died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at his residence.
Survivors include one daughter, Lazonda W. Frank (Nicholas) of Ville Platte; five brothers, Lawrence Thomas of Dallas, Texas, Clarence Thomas, Linton Thomas and Felton Thomas, all of Ville Platte, and Larry Thomas of Eunice; three sisters, Emily Grace Woodall and Mary Celestine, both of Ville Platte, and Anna Mae Thomas of Houston, Texas; and a host of extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Thomas; his parents, Clarence Thomas Sr. and Celestine Frank; two brothers, James Lee Thomas and James Clarence “JC” Frank; and two sisters, Ella George and Anna Bell Thomas.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4, at St. Luke Baptist Church.
