PINE PRAIRIE – The Pine Prairie Council received good news concerning the village’s audit at their Thursday night meeting.
Auditor Shirley Vige with Vige, Tujague & Noel informed the council that there were no findings to report for their 2015 audit.
The audit did however show that the village spent more money this past year than they had taken in, but there was an explanation for that.
Vige said, “While you guys did spend more money than you took in this year, that was because there were large purchases made that the village does not normally have to make.”
Those purchase included two new trucks for the town.
Vige did say though, that “all in all, the town is in good shape financially.”
Other item approved at the meeting was:
• Ratification of the Zoning Commission’s approval for Todd and Sue Ortis to place a 10 x 16 metal building at 1109 Ash Street to open a sno-cone business.
