VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Floyd Usher, 96, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Father Tom Voorhies will officiate.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 8 a.m..
Usher, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Monday July 18, 2016 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas.
He will be missed by his wife Betty Ann Chapman Usher of Ville Platte; son James “Jim” Usher of Greenwell Springs; stepson Clint Fontenot of Tate Cove; stepdaughters Cynthia Mesz of Spring, Texas Vickie Brown of Spicewood, Texas; eight grandchildren, Shawn Usher, David Paul Usher, Shelley Johnson, Allison Schnake, Crystal Robyn Anderson, Christopher Kyle Fontenot, Joanie Blair Fontenot and Hannah Renee Morgan; 20 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clifton James and Emma Sander Usher, son David Brian Usher, brothers, sister, and grandson Kaleb Brian Toll.
Laville Funeral Home of Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
