ROBERT “BOB” MCDANIEL

PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services for Robert “Bob” McDaniel were held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie with Reverends Jacob Vollm and Kevin West officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale.
McDaniel, 94, of Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Alexandria, with his loving family by his side.
McDaniel was a great mentor to his children and all those around him. He was an advocate of education, a World War II Veteran and a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and loved the oil and gas, timber and cattle businesses. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by one grandson, Neil McDaniel and one great grandson, Graeme McDaniel.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of 59 years, Noelle McDaniel, of Pine Prairie; three sons, Sammy McDaniel and his wife, Diana, of Katie, Texas, Scott McDaniel and his wife, Cathy, of Lafayette and Steve McDaniel and his wife, Kristen, of Houston, Texas; beloved granddaughter, Heather Fontenot Eldridge, of Lafayette; two sisters, Mary Ann Johnson, of Hemphill, Texas and Dot Stevens, of Pine Prairie; six grandchildren, Robby McDaniel, Matthew McDaniel, Sara Lemoine, Eric McDaniel, Taylor McDaniel and William McDaniel; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve were: Robby McDaniel, Matthew McDaniel, Eric McDaniel, Taylor McDaniel, Wayne Johnson and Jeremy Holden.
