VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Martha Kate Wiant were held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot. Burial followed in the Vandenburg Cemetery.
Wiant, 38, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016. A resident of Fort Worth, Texas, Wiant was born on March 8, 1978 in Opelousas. Wiant leaves behind her daughter, Lillian Elizabeth Wiant of Fort Worth, Texas; parents, Keith and Lillian Jo Casey Edwards; brothers, Aaron Lastie Edwards and wife Angelia of Bayou Chicot and Andrew Jackson Edwards and wife Kari, all of Bayou Chicot and her numerous nieces and nephews, Naomi, Chelsea, Kaylah, Kelsey, Justin, Wesley and Jaxon.
She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Olie Edwards and Martha Lois Soileau Edwards and maternal grandparents, Andrew Jackson and Essie Deville Causey.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of the arrangements.
