It’s hard to believe but the 2016 LHSAA high school football season is upon us.
And with that, the Evangeline Parish gridiron teams are ready to get started with the first test of the season; the jamboree.
As all ways the four public high schools in the parish will participate in the Evangeline Parish Jamboree. This year’s event will be held at Mamou High School tomorrow night.
The jamboree will consist of two games with 15 minute halves in each game.
Game one will feature Ville Platte vs. Pine Prairie beginning at 6 p.m.
Game two will have Basile and Mamou squaring off against each other approximately 15 minutes after the completion of game one.
Sacred Heart will appear in the Joe Nagata Memorial Jamboree again this season. The Trojans took part in that same jamboree last year.
Sacred Heart will face St. Ed’s at approximately 8 p.m. following the Eunice/Notre Dame matchup.
This year those two games will be played at St.Ed’s high school.
