A Memorial Service for Anatole Dupre Jr. (T-not), will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 10 at St. Landry Baptist Church. Pastors officiating will be Blake Hoffpauir, Jerry Adams, Josh Adams and Joe Jenkins.
Dupre, a long-time resident of St. Landry, passed away on August 28, 2016
Dupre, 81, was born on January 1, 1935. He was a retired crane/heavy equipment operator for Bayou Sale. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved to attend church, praying for and with others, spending time with family, laughing and always had a smile on his face. He was a such a loving, caring man, helping anyone he could. He always put others first. He was in inspiration to everyone that knew him. “To know him was to love him.”
In addition to his parents, Anatole and Ovelia Dupre, he was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony and Patrick, four brothers, Weston, LD, Norman and Preston, and two sisters, Margi and Winnie Mae.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Dupre of St. Landry, four children, Ricky Dupre (Violet) of Pollock, Kerry Dupre (Janet) of St. Landry, Annette Moses of Franklin and Joey Dupre of Geismer; three step-daughters, Kathy Price of Bunkie, Wendy Normand (Earl) of Cottonport and Janet Dupre of St. Landry; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Weldon Fruge (Jane) of Mamou, Ben Dupre (Loretta) of Eunice, Glen Dupre (Carolyn) of Franklin; one sister, Gaynel Manuel of Mamou; and many neices and nephews.
