Visitation for John Burkman O’Connor was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2016. Interment followed at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
O’Connor, a native of Mamou and resident of Denham Springs, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the age of 75.
O’Connor had a passion for gardening, especially his rose bushes. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Price O’Connor; son, John B. O’Connor, Jr.; step-daughters, Connie Price and Kim Daugherty and husband, Mike; son-in-law, Keith James; grandchildren, Nicole (Nick), DeeAnn (Travis), Colton, Kayleigh, Amanda (Luke), Blaine (Angela), Jonathan, Jeremy (Serah), Brianna, Ashley, and Joshua; great grandchildren, Ben, Nicholas, Maddie, Abby, Lexi, Anna, Zoey, and Avery; and brothers, Terry O’Connor and Perry O’Connor (Joy). He is preceded in death by his daughter, Monique James, first wife, Diane O’Connor; brother, James O’Connor; step-son, Lonnie Price; and parents, Dewey and Mary Ann Bourque O’Connor.
