The Cajun Catfish & Buffet has received three citations from the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control for administrative violations.
According to the ATC, the restaurant was cited earlier this month for not meeting permit qualifications to sell alcohol, failure to maintain qualifications due to owing taxes, and manager/owner not certified with ATC, which means information on the owner was not sent to the ATC’s office.
Because of these citations, the owner of the establishment will have to attend an administrative hearing at the Louisiana State Police Headquarters in Baton Rouge.
The hearing will be similar to a court hearing where the restaurant owner and their attorney will either prove that they are not guilty of these adminsitrative charges or they can plead guilty. These are not criminal charges and will not result in any jail time.
The hearing has been set for January 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
This same business was also denied an ocupational permit from the Evangeline Parish Police Jury recently after the business’s name and owner changed.
The permit was denied due to the fact that the owner could not produce a clean tax report from the Evangeline Parish Tax Commissioners Office
