The Mamou Police Department is requesting assistance from the public to help locate Solomon Guillory.
Guillory became wanted by the MPD on January 2, 2017 after he led officers on a high speed chase at around 1:00 a.m. in the morning.
In the midst of the chase, Guillory wrecked the vehicle he was driving into an open field in the Mamou area and then ran from law enforcement.
At the time of the incident, officers did not know who the driver of the vehicle was.
When the officers on scene ran the license plate on the car, the vehicle came back as being registered to an individual living on La. Highway 10.
The MPD then proceeded to the car owner’s home, and it was there that they learned his vehicle had just been stolen by Guillory. The owner of the vehicle also informed the officers that Guillory had a gun in his possession.
The MPD ask that if anyone has information regarding Guillory’s whereabouts please contact their department at (337) 468-5221.
Recently, the MPD’s search for Jacob Jack came to an end after the suspect turned himself into the police in late January.
Jack was wanted by the MPD after he was seen on surveillance cameras selling a pair of rims that had been stolen off of a vehicle in Mamou.
In connection with this crime, Alex Ardoin was also arrested on December 16, 2016 and charged with theft over $750.
