Easton shootout suspects charged

Two Evangeline Parish residents have been charged with attempted second degree murder after being involved in a shootout on Lariat Lane in the Easton area earlier this year.
The shootout occurred between Jody T. Thrasher of Ville Platte and Kylan W. Ardoin of Pine Prairie in the early morning hours of Friday, January 20, 2017.
According to a January press release from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ardoin “suffered a gunshot wound to the chest,” while Thrasher “suffered from wounds to the groin area.”
Thrasher, 41, was arrested for the attempted first degree murder charge on Febraury 21, 2017. He was released from jail on a $50,000.00 bond.
Ardoin turned himself in on Wednesday, March 8th, and was released from jail later that day on a $50,000.00 bond.
