Richard “Tippy” Crochet

JENNINGS – Services for Richard “Tippy” Crochet, 65, will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Matthew and Son Funeral Home, with Rev Randell Walton and Rev. Gary Dar Dar officiating. He died March, 1, 2008 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Burial will be in Miller French Cemetery.

He raised cattle, and trained horses and dogs. He also loved to sing and play music, the outdoors and spending time at his camp with his family.

Survivors include his wife; Barbara M. Crochet of Gottís Cove; two sons, Brandon Kent Gatte of Gottís Cove and wife Ann and Kennon Rhett Crochet of Gottís Cove and wife Shawnee; one daughter, Sherri Kettler of Gottís Cove and husband William “Bill”; one son-in-law, Robbie Welch of Gottís Cove; two brothers, Russell Crochet of Gottís Cove and wife Elaine and Billy Crochet of Tepetate and wife Fay; and six grandchildren, Cory Gatte, Devin Gatte, Garrett Welch, Chelsea Welch, Cameron Crochet and Ryley Crochet.

Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews & Son Funeral Home of Jennings.
