Eugenie Musacchio

CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held at noon, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Eugenie Jaschke Musacchio, 96. Mrs. Musacchio died Sunday, March 9, 2008 in Crowley.

Father Gary Schexnayder of Saint Michaels Church will conduct the funeral service.

Committal service will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family request visitation be observed Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until noon.

The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 Wednesday.

Mrs. Eugenie Musacchio was born January 1, 1912 in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of the late Otto and Eugenie Calwer Jaschke. Her family moved to Crowley in 1915. In 1942 she married Dr. Frederick A. Musacchio, MD. Mrs. Musacchio worked most of her life at the Parish Health Unit and was active in Crowley community civic organizations, USL, and with her church throughout her life.

Mrs. Musacchio is survived by two daughters, Eugenie Yokum, DDS of Crosby, Texas and Victoria Eugenie Sanchez, PhD of State College, Pa.; two grandsons, Dakota C. Sanchez and Brave Heart Sanchez both of State College, Pa.; and a nephew, John Hubert Jaschke of Lafayette.

Her husband, Dr. Frederick A. Musacchio, MD, two brothers, Oscar and Otto Hubert Jaschke and her sister, Mildred Jaschke Armstrong, preceded her in death.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Association, and the Humane Society.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc. of Crowley.
