The banquet is scheduled for Friday, April 4, at 6 p.m. at the Mamou Teen Center. A social hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. and the awards program will begin at 7 p.m.
Guest speaker for the occasion will be Hoyt Harris, news anchor from KATC-TV 3 in Lafayette.
Tickets for the banquet will be available at Reed’s Pharmacy. “Tickets are $10 per person,” Landreneau said.
Chairman for the event is Landreneau. Co-chairman is Nary Reed, and Rita Deloach is food chairman.
Any organization or individual person can make a nomination, but they must present a resume’ or information about the nominee’s qualifications. These may be brought to Reed’s Pharmacy.
This is the 53rd year Mamou Rotarians have chosen to honor a man and woman of the year for their outstanding service to their community.
Organizers always expect a capacity crowd for the banquet. All past recipients are urged to attend. Last year’s recipients were Angie Granger and Neal Duplechin.
