Team Sam takes big lead in ELTL Week 6

Weeks One and Two rainouts have now been made up or forfeited, leaving Team Sam with a clear lead after walloping Team Tupper 16-0 in Week Six of Eunice Ladies Tennis League play.
On Court One, Felicia Allen and Nisha Sam of Team Sam defeated Team Tupper’s Brenda Fontenot and Ann Roberts 7-5, 6-2.
Cindy Turk and Janet Prudhomme of Team Sam won a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Laricia Poullard and Shirley Miller of Team Tupper on Court Two.
On Court Three, Team Sam’s Margaret Young and Ann Latiolais won a 6-4, 7-5 victory over team captain Connie Tupper and Loretta Simon.
Blanche Fontenot and Joan McManus of Team Sam scored a 6-4, 6-3 win over Team Tupper’s Jean Higginbotham Katie Young on Court Four.
In the other match of the week, Team Richard kept one point above last place with a 12-4 win over Team Manuel.
On Court One, Tina Duplechin and Cynthia Tucker won 6-3, 6-3 against Team Manuel’s Debbie Miller and Lita LeJeune.
Scoring a win for Team Manuel, Robin Bellard and Kay Dietz defeated Team Richard’s Ellen Myers and Janice Brignac 6-4, 6-4 on Court Two.
On Court Three, Team Richard’s Myra Miller and Yvonne Vasseur scored a 6-1, 7-5 win against Melissa Reynolds and Ching Wasmuth of Team Manuel.
Team captain Marlene Richard and Amber Rougeau scored a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Team Manuel’s Cindy Burge and Paula Frugé on Court Four.
