NELSON JOSEPH “BO’’ BELLARD, JR.

MAMOU - A Mass of Christian Burial for Nelson Joseph “Bo’’ Bellard, Jr., 54 will be held Friday, March 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou with interment to follow in the First Baptist Cemetery in Mamou. Father Bob Courville will officiate the service.

Mr. Bellard, a resident of Mamou, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at his residence after a long illness.

Mr. Bellard was retired from the Town of Mamou in the Maintenance Department.

Survivors include his three sons, Nelson Bellard III of Lafayette, Tommy Bellard and wife, Tamara of Reddell, and Beau Bellard and his finance’, Rachel Leonards of Lafayette; daughter, April Leonards and husband, Christopher Shawn of Mamou; brother, Kenneth Bellard and wife, Tracy of Basile; sister, Brenda Darbonne of Iota; three grandchildren, Taytum Landreneau, Terra Landreneau, and Owen Bellard.

Mr. Bellard was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson J. Bellard, Sr., and Lessie Gaspard Bellard; and a sister, Diane Jones.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and re-open on Friday at 7:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 5:45 p.m. Thursday evening.
