Ephesians 1:17-20 KJV says, “That the God our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us - ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.”

God’s power is available through Christ for the benefit of the church. Who is the church? It’s you, and me, and everyone else who has given their lives to Jesus Christ. God’s power is available for our benefit.

Every believer in Christ can be sure of this: If you need God’s power to do right, you can have it. If you need God’s power to be holy, you can have it. If you need God’s power to overcome sin, you can have it. If you need God’s power to do his work, or to do his will, you can have it. If it will benefit you in your walk with Jesus Christ, His power is available to you. The very same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

A lot of people say they want God’s resurrection, but they forget about part of it. What comes before resurrection? It’s death, pain and suffering. Just as Jesus endured these things on the road to his resurrection, we can expect to endure them as well. It says in I Peter 4:1, God’s power will not save you from suffering, but his power will get you through it. You can count on it! God’s power is available to you, his resurrection power.
