Spring arrives

The first full day of spring dawned as a glorious Good Friday, an appropriate matching of the renewal symbols of the calendar, the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Though Easter weekend is very early this year, the perennial markers of it are cooperating, as azaleas, bridal bushes, redbuds, dogwoods and other early spring bloomers are in full blossom.
