Mayor announces Summer Camp

CROWLEY – Today, Mayor Greg Jones announced the City of Crowley’s 2008 Summer Youth Camp for students ages 7-14 will begin June 9th and run through July 11th.

Registration forms are available at all Crowley schools as well as Crowley City Hall, Korky’s Super Market, P.J.’s, Superfoods, Lagrange Food Mart, the City of Crowley Public Housing Authority, C&G Grocery, Shop Rites, local churches, and City’s recreation centers and on-line at www.crowley-la.com.

All registration forms are to be returned to Crowley City Hall by June 2, 2008. There is a fee of $10.

The Summer Youth Camp will include a variety of indoor and outdoor activities including a professional puppet program sponsored by the Acadiana Arts Council, fine arts and crafts lessons, music appreciation, and other developmental events.

The program will be held at both the Martin Luther King Center and the Rice Festival Building with instructions and activities conducted according to age groups.
