Beta Sigma

A pledge ritual was held for new members, Gloria Sommers and Gloria Cart.

The meeting of Laurete Mu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held at the home of Mrs. Nancy Tislow on February 12. Officiating at the ceremony was chapter president, Mrs. Clementine Kirsch. Also present at the meeting were members Shirley Griffin, Jane Love, Elsie Rowell, and Gloria Cart.

Nancy Tislow presented the program, a Beta Sigma Phi Pledge Review. It was an excellent review for the two new pledges and a refresher for all.

During the business portion of the meeting, Mrs. Kirsch reviewed information regarding various funds which Beta Sigma Phi International helps to support.

Members voted to approve all new proposals.

Boxed macaroni and cheese was collected for the Crowley Christian Care Center. Members were asked to bring canned meat to the next meeting to be held on March 4.

Plans were made to honor Valentine’s sweetheart, Mrs. Connie Jaubert, at a luncheon to be held at Chef Roy’s on February 19.
