Emmet Cormier

CROWLEY – Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Emmet Cormier of Morse, 86, who died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Kaplan Memorial Hospital.

Rev. Lloyd Singley officiated the service.

Burial took place at Hanks Cemetery in Morse.

He is survived by his wife, Virgie Cormier of Morse; one son, Calvin and wife Stella Cormier of Morse; two sisters, Jeanette Fachan and Thelma Jones, both of Crowley; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cormier was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleopha Cormier; one brother; Chester Cormier; and one sister, Rena Hanks.

He served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He will be sadly missed.

Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley was entrusted with the arrangements.
